This page tracks NHS England Digital National Record Locator evidence naming InterSystems sites in the West Midlands.

Supported Conclusion

NHS England Digital's 2024 National Record Locator change history names InterSystems sites including Birmingham and Solihull ICB, Coventry and Warwickshire ICB, and Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICB as live with International Patient Summary PDF pointers. It also names InterSystems with those ICBs as first-of-type direct consumer activity.

Evidence Status

Confidence is high for the NRL roadmap statement because it is an NHS England Digital source. It does not describe the full local shared-care-record operating model, all connected systems, clinical workflow, supplier contract, or current post-2024 status.

The roadmap checked on 8 September 2026 was last reviewed by the NHS team on 31 March. It includes a planned April–June 2026 Lincolnshire InterSystems site and planned July–September retirement of legacy NRL v2.8 APIs. Those timetable entries do not establish completion or change the dated 2024 West Midlands evidence.

InterSystems' July 2026 advisory documents a pointer-labelling risk in a HealthShare/NRL implementation and directs affected organisations to coordinate correction with NRL. It does not identify the customer or establish that the West Midlands sites were affected. Pointer classification and local remediation evidence should therefore accompany operational assurance.

Interpretation

This is a standards and national-infrastructure evidence strand. Use it to support the existence of InterSystems-related NRL activity in named West Midlands ICB contexts, not as standalone proof of the broader HealthShare shared-care-record architecture.
