West Midlands Cancer Registry and eMDT
This page tracks the West Midlands / University Hospitals Birmingham cancer registry and multidisciplinary-team example from the official InterSystems UK evidence set.
Official InterSystems Claim
InterSystems says West Midlands health and social care providers started integrating cancer registry data into InterSystems HealthShare. The page names University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust as leading the project and says testing was underway across 15 West Midlands sites.

Evidence Status
Confidence is moderate. The HealthShare claim remains vendor-published, and Birmingham and Solihull ICS separately lists a West Midlands Cancer Alliance eMDT project to enable information sharing for cancer treatment decisions, but the local page does not by itself validate the InterSystems HealthShare component.
An independent Digital Health report corroborates the HealthShare/cancer-registry narrative, names UHB project leadership, describes testing across 15 sites, and includes a UHB quote. This strengthens the external evidence trail, but it is still not an official UHB or West Midlands Cancer Alliance source.
The 2026-06-18 follow-up search found no stronger public UHB or West Midlands Cancer Alliance source naming InterSystems HealthShare for this project. The remaining gap is an official customer/programme-source gap.
