Royal Orthopaedic Hospital EPR

This page tracks The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital EPR example from the official InterSystems UK evidence set.

Official InterSystems Claim

InterSystems says The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital selected InterSystems as EPR partner, identifies the intended system as TrakCare EPR, and says implementation planning was underway with a view to begin the programme in 2026.

Product / Service

TrakCare EPR.

Evidence Status

Confidence is high for selection and contract, and moderate for implementation outcomes. ROH customer-side pages confirm InterSystems EPR partner selection on 23 October 2025 and contract signature with InterSystems UKI on 13 March 2026.

Contracts Finder OCDS data adds procurement support: the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS FT EPR CDHS Further Competition award names InterSystems Corporation as supplier, with a value of GBP 13,147,716 and contract period from 26 February 2026 to 25 February 2036.

The 2026-06-21 breadth recheck found useful ROH planning evidence, but not implementation closure. ROH's Medicines Optimisation Strategy 2025-2028 says the trust wants closed-loop medicines through an integrated EPR, a fully adopted EPR supporting discharge medicines service referrals and EPS prescriptions, reporting based on the chosen EPR system, and patient-facing navigation integrated with the new EPR solution. This strengthens implementation-context confidence but does not name InterSystems or TrakCare and does not prove go-live, clinical-safety approval, or operational outcome.

The same 2026-06-21 pass found no public ROH go-live, implementation-outcome, or clinical-safety update beyond selection, contract-signature, contract-award, and planning evidence.

See Birmingham and West Midlands Validation for the broader regional shared-care-record and standards evidence trail.

Remaining Follow-up Evidence

  • ROH implementation milestones and go-live announcement.
  • Clinical-safety and information-governance artefacts where public.
  • Post-implementation user, operational, or clinical outcome evidence.
